Housing rises 3% in Madeira Apartments and houses increased by 3.7% and 2.5%. 22 Jan 2020 min de leitura The bank valuation of housing increased by 3% in June, to 1,373 euros per square meter, compared to the previous month. In year-on-year terms, there was an increase of 4.3%, according to the Regional Directorate of Statistics (DREM). Madeira continues to be the third region in the country with the highest price, behind the Algarve and the Lisbon Metropolitan Area. The appreciation extends to apartments, which are worth 1,419 euros per square meter, up 3.7% over the previous month and 3.6% in the same period. Homes also appreciated 2.5%. compared to the previous month, and 5% compared to the same period last year. The value was 1,318 euros per square meter. In Funchal, bank valuation stood at 1,513 euros per square meter, while apartments reached 1,385 euros per square meter, and housing at 1,385 euros per square meter.
